This page uses only details preserved in the collected research files. Information that those sources do not confirm is marked To be confirmed.

Host and join

Hosts choose open, request, or password access. The official guide describes progression milestones before the Multiplayer app unlocks. Switch invitations require island-code or password-style access.

Permissions and progress

Hosts separately allow crops, livestock, fishing, crafting, and other resources. Visitors retain personal bag and appearance data, but world progress belongs to the island. Some quests must be finished at home.

Rewards and limits

Group farming, fishing, exploring, and photos earn Multiplayer Coins. Menus do not pause time, and the room closes if the host disconnects. Future cross-play and complete shop inventory are To be confirmed.

Starsand Island on Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo lists August 18, 2026, a 9.7 GB file size, Japanese and English, Nintendo Switch Online, and Save Data Cloud. The source does not confirm an original Switch version. That platform remains To be confirmed.

A host can welcome up to three visitors to farm, fish, gather, build, and explore. Switch invitations use the island-code or password-style setting in the official guide. Cross-platform multiplayer is not currently supported.

Two reviews report long loads, pop-in, unstable performance, visual glitches, and vehicle problems. A launch update brought minor improvements in one review build. Current performance after later patches is To be confirmed.

Starsand Island on Xbox

An August 19, 2026 report says full 1.0 and multiplayer are available. Achievements had appeared during Early Access. Regional storefront and later subscription-tier details are To be confirmed.

Hosts choose open, request, or password access. Up to four players can farm, fish, explore, complete profession quests, and handle requests. Island progress is separate and some quests require returning home.

Cross-platform play is not currently supported, though developers were reported to be investigating it. Hosts can share resources by category. Xbox resolution, frame rate, and later cross-play status are To be confirmed.

Starsand Island Update

Host-based multiplayer supports up to four players. The material also describes expanded dates and relationship stories. Farming, fishing, exploration, profession quests, and requests can be shared.

Hosts control joining and resource permissions. Group activities earn Multiplayer Coins for a dedicated shop, while island progress remains separate. Cross-platform play was unsupported at launch.

A Switch review mentions a launch update and minor improvements, but it is not a complete official log. The empty file provides no later chronology. Current version numbers, fixes, and dates are To be confirmed.

Starsand Island Guide: A Practical Starting Route

Hopeland is the overgrown plot left by your grandfather, with a one-room cabin and an outdoor worktable at the start. The opening quest unlocks Build Mode and the Island Life app, which later supports expanding the property. Basic controls appear during your first steps, and most keyboard shortcuts can be reassigned in Settings.

The five professions are Farming, Fishing, Ranching, Exploration, and Crafting. The source recommends Crafting and Exploration together because tool upgrades, machines, and gathered materials overlap, while the other three paths still depend on crafted equipment. You can level every profession, so the recommendation is a starting route rather than a permanent choice.

A day ends at 2:00 AM, and failing to sleep in a bed or tent reduces the next day’s stamina according to the beginner material. Sitting and food can restore stamina, but returning before the deadline protects more of the following day. Spend earned Starsand in Workpedia, where profession levels unlock related skills and perks.

Islandpedia records furniture, crafted items, bugs, fish, crops, and other discoveries, while the Social app tracks residents and affection. Expand bag space when gathering starts filling the starting inventory, and check farm plots for weeds because they pause crop growth. Exact best-day routes vary with your chosen profession and current quests, so a universal speedrun order is To be confirmed.
