Host and join
Hosts choose open, request, or password access. The official guide describes progression milestones before the Multiplayer app unlocks. Switch invitations require island-code or password-style access.
Permissions and progress
Hosts separately allow crops, livestock, fishing, crafting, and other resources. Visitors retain personal bag and appearance data, but world progress belongs to the island. Some quests must be finished at home.
Rewards and limits
Group farming, fishing, exploring, and photos earn Multiplayer Coins. Menus do not pause time, and the room closes if the host disconnects.
