Stage 1: Finish the opening tutorial

Confirm your name, gender and other starting options before continuing. Your name and some character options cannot be changed later. Talk to Solara, receive the Axe blueprint, chop the trees near the house for Softwood, and craft the Matcha Double Bed. Put the bed inside the house to complete the tutorial. A bed can also be placed outside and used as an efficiency trick, but that is optional rather than a tutorial requirement.

Stage 2: Choose Crafting first

The recommended first-profession order is Crafting > Farming > Exploration > Fishing > Ranching. Crafting is not necessarily the fastest direct money maker; its value is that it unlocks resource-processing machines, stronger tools, the Skateboard, later Rollerblades and Hoverboard progress, and materials other professions depend on. Open the map, find Zerine, accept Apprentice Crafter, enter Zerine’s General Store and claim the free Equipment Blueprint Pack. Check that it gives Cutter I, Charcoal Kiln, Furnace I and Separator, then keep tracking the Skateboard task.

Stage 3: Start Farming

In the map’s Mentors category, track Graminova and accept Apprentice Farmer. Claim the three free Wheat Seeds in the shop, buy three more and plant six plots. Craft a Stone Hoe and Wooden Watering Can, clear a small patch near the house, hoe six spaces, sow Wheat and water it. Wheat takes about 18 in-game hours to mature, and growth starts immediately when planted rather than waiting for the next day. Do not spend high-tier Ripening Fertilizer IV on the starter Wheat.

Stage 4: Protect stamina and storage

Craft one Stump Stool so you can recover stamina when food is unavailable, and make one or two Storage Boxes. Do not sell Softwood, Stone, Fiber, Copper or Tin during the opening loop. Open Inventory and use Expand: the first upgrade raises the bag from 30 to 35 slots. Materials in a home Storage Box can be called by nearby crafting stations, so you do not need to carry every ingredient.

Stage 5: Optional conversations

If time and stamina remain, speak with Zephyria to start Exploration, Delphin to start Fishing and Pastelle to start Ranching. You can accept all five introductory profession tasks, check the Community Center Request Board, and open Island Life, Islandpedia, StarNote and Workpedia. These are optional on Day 1 and can move to Day 2 if they would push you toward exhaustion.

Easy-to-miss Day 1 checklist

Before sleeping, confirm: Crafting is selected; the free Equipment Blueprint Pack is claimed; the Skateboard task is active; six Wheat plots are planted; you have at least one Storage Box or Stump Stool; you know the five mentor locations; and you sleep before 2:00 AM or make a manual save. The first day is complete when these foundations are in place, not when every optional conversation is finished.
